Gussie’s is a brand spankin’ new neighborhood bar opening up just on the edge of downtown Raleigh and we’re now officially looking for other professional misfits to join the team.

What do we mean by neighborhood bar? We’re an all year round, good time neighborhood bar, a new version of an old idea, the local spot where you always feel comfortable, your “secret” that you tell all your friends to visit when they’re in town, the place you go to see your neighbors, make new friends and enjoy a damn fine time from folks who take their bites and sips seriously but not themselves. Craft cocktails, local beer, a thoughtful wine selection and a kitchen pumping out delicious comfort food.

Who are we and what do we care about? At Gussie’s we aim to create a work environment of high performance, high reward -while we work hard, we also strive for a balance that works for every employee. Whatever level you are looking to aim for in the hospitality industry, we’d like use our years of experience from New York to Los Angeles to help you get there. If you’re looking to get in on the ground floor with some folks with big plans, North South Hospitality, owners of Gussie’s Raleigh, will be expanding and would love to have you grow with us. Goals of the company include exceptional hospitality, creativity, food & beverage offerings, sustainability, and the health and wellness of our employees, guests, and community.

The Team. That’s you! (Hopefully!!!) There’s an old saying that a company’s biggest asset is its people. We don’t necessarily agree. We think our biggest asset is the RIGHT PEOPLE. Our team is the bedrock of all that we do, all that we strive for, all of our dreamiest dreams are nothing without the team. And because of that, like every other single detail in Gussie’s, only the best is good enough. And because we hire the best, we want the best for them. Employee wellness and work life balance are at the top of our core values. This is a spot where you can learn and grow, both on your own and within the company. We want to provide all the best training and tools you need to be successful and attain your goals. Optimism, enthusiasm, curiosity, integrity and a genuine knack for hospitality are all prerequisites. Kindness, work ethic and gracious hospitality are ultimately the coin of the realm. That sounds like a Zelda reference. It isn’t though, unless you think that’s cool, then, sure, it totally is.
